Story

Kamakani Komohana is proud to present its 5th Annual "One Spirit, Many Souls" Festival. Driven by the principle that many souls are connected through one spirit, this festival utilizes the power of song, dance, and artistic expression to unite the creative communities of Polynesia, Hawaii, the Carribean, and Japan, along with American Jazz, modern dance, rock 'n roll, and pop music.

Celebrate with Kisses: A Holiday Lu'au

  Inspired by the awareness that the world's Many Souls and cultures are united through One Spirit, Kamakani Komohana Halau (dance school) concludes it's 2019 Series of Events with it's Holiday Lu'au, "CELEBRATE WITH KISSES".

  Come amplify your Holiday joy and love, and celebrate the Christmas Season "Island Style" with seasonal song and dance adorned in a colorful explosion of West Coast Island Magic, featuring an international lineup of dancers and musicians from Hawaii, Samoa, the Caribbean and California. 

Island's Embrace: A Lu'au Explosion

This event will feature a diversely International lineup of local performers, presenting a wide array of dance and song arrangements in a Lu'au setting. Performances will range from Hawai'i and Polynesian Islands of Tahiti, New Zealand, Samoa to Caribbean, Africa, Japan, and more. With the talents of Westwind Productions, Keali'i O Na Lani, Rose Laolagi, ane the Caribbean Jems. Also featured will be a music set of songs written by Gregg de Castro and performed by several talented musicians and singers, from an original musical, 'Road Back Home, an Ancestral Journey.' We will also feature the Hawaiian and Polynesian dance school, Kamakani Komohana.

Shine on Me Tonight: A Musical Excursion

The first event in the One Spirit Many Souls 2019 Concert Series. Gregg de Castro, renowned singer, songwriter, and teacher who studied under Seth Riggs along side Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder and many more Grammy Award winners, will lift his audience up with his original songs and story telling through international influences. Featuring his talented students performing classical, soul, rock, and more!
